Age

I was provided with the average growth rates of a tree. However this was average information but I wanted to find a more precise formula for the Victorian Plane Tree. I did a bit of research online and found a way to measure the age of a plane tree on this link. I measured the girth (circumference) of the tree with a tape measure at a height of 1.5 metres from the ground. The measurement was approximately 300cm.
On the website I used, it says that the girth of a London Plane Tree has an average growth rate of 7cm per year. Therefore I calculated that the age of my plane tree is about 43 years old.
